Earlier this week, Google dropped its price for online storage (AKA Google Drive) to just $1.99 a month for 100 GB and $10 a month for 1000 GB. They also increased free storage up to 15 GB. This beats DropBox, Microsoft and other cloud storage competitors by a wide margin. Google claims that increases in storage efficiency have made these pricing changes possible. Whatever the reason, it’s nice to see prices go down for a change. Lower prices, combined with Google’s new third party add-on support in Google Docs makes Google Drive the best free productivity and online storage solution available. If you have Gmail, you already have Google Drive. If not, you can sign up for free.
